Krieg & Frieden is a score originally commissioned by German theatre director Sebastian Hartmann for his recent production of Tolstoy’s War & Peace, which was subsequently released by Mute Records.

This will be an intimate live performance in one of London’s most historic arts spaces – The Islington Assembly Hall. It is a seated show with very limited tickets so be quick!

We always look forward to our parties with the Numbers crew – and this one we think is going to be super special. For our summer London show on Saturday 22nd June we’re heading down to south London for our first Black Atlantic x Numbers party at the Bussey Building in Peckham.

We’re scaling things back slightly for this one – allowing Number’s Jackmaster and Spencer to man the controls all night long, with pause only for a unique live show from the mighty Legowelt.

Legowelt has fast become one of our favourite artists operating on the fringes of the techno and electro worlds – and the guys over at Bleep think so too – making “The Paranormal Soul” their best album of 201

For the second event in the new London series curated and produced by Earnest Endeavours and Black Atlantic, at Village Underground, we welcome not only The Gaslamp Killer for his first UK show since the release of his breakthrough album on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label (indeed his first London show for over a year) but also long-time friend and Warp / Numbers signed artist Rustie, fresh from the release of his incredible Triadzz / Slasherr single.

The night also sees EE introducing their newest signing; the Belgian prodigy Pomrad, who brings his unique live show (he plays every single kick, snare, hi hat and keys parts of his repertoire), alongside label mates Darkhouse Fam (who are currently working on a new EP) and EE founders, Patchwork Pirates.

Earnest Endeavours will also be announcing the second run of the exclusive new film series ‘Screen Tests’ playing host to new work from the most exciting directors working in music-inspired film and video.

As at all our events this year, the awesome Hit+Run screen-print crew will be working with the artists involved to create exclusive tees for the night.

Black Atlantic, in conjunction with Hinge Finger, present the second in a series of events curated by Joy Orbison under the working title of ‘Just For You’.

At the sold out launch of the series in February, Hessle Audio boss Ben UFO, NYC party people Mister Saturday Night and Blackest Ever Black’s Raime all set the tone for what’s to come.

The next event in the series plays host to a rare pairing, with Panorama Bar regular Cassy playing alongside Joy Orbison, with support from Workshop’s Even Tuell and The Trilogy Tapes’ Will Bankhead.

With new releases due on both Hinge Finger and Sunklo in the coming months, 2013 promises to be another strong year for the producer who helped redefine a sound that began as an obscure sub-set of house music and has become one of the most dominant genres of the last few years. Whilst many of his peers choose to push themselves into the mainstream, JO chooses a very different path – preferring to focus on quality not quantity, substance over style.

As he settles into his London residency for 2013 expect yet more eclectic sets as he explores the freedom afforded by this regular session.

As standard, Oval Space now boasts a newly installed (and tweaked) custom D&B rig, acoustic treatments throughout and serious industrial ventilation.
